A tam jsme nenašli vůbec nic.
4. Chrám Man Mo
6. DimDimSum
Oprýskaná restaurace plná místních – a to je vždycky dobré znamení.
The question What to do in Hong Kong? is not difficult to answer as it seems the city has got it all. And it's worth it even for 72 hours.
1 - Victoria Peak
It is a hill above the city, where you can get by bus number 15 from the port Central, which saves you a lot of time, because the queue on the cableway is endless. It's a double-decker bus so better get yourself a seat on the upper deck. And then just hold breath because the road will be really narrow and the hill really steep. And up above the city you will hold your breath again from the view of the city on the coast. If you go before sunset, you can see the city in daylight, but also in the light of a thousand lights after sunset. And on the way down, try the iconic cableway – the queue in the upper station is much shorter.
2 - Brunch in the N1 Coffee & Co
I discovered N1 thanks to a recommendation and I kept visiting each morning. It's a small, narrow café where there is a carousel horse hanging from the ceiling filled with the smell of fresh coffee they roast themselves. One of the best cappuccinos I've tasted.
3 - Feather Boa
This is a secret club. Apparently, this type of club is very popular in China and HK. There is one in Shanghai where you enter through a Coca-Cola fridge about which they wrote on boredpanda. However, we didn't find it with Barca. But in HK, I was luckier. I got a recommendation from my colleague, but they did not tell me where it is. So we googled and went to the address that we found. And there we found nothing. Nearby was also nothing that resembled a club. So we had began searching until we went to a nearby restaurant for advice. The waitress looked strangely and shook her head like there was nothing like that around. I could't just leave so I asked her colleague too. She first glanced at the first one, which after a while slightly nodded in agreement, then this chubby lady leaned to me and whispered where to go. We followed the instructions and found a place which looked liked everything but a club/bar. Only corny doors and nobody. After a while the curtain covering the window slightly moved and a pair of eyes appeared behind the glass. For a second only. We waited on until it happened again. Now somebody even slightly opened the door and through the cranny a woman's voice whispered we need to wait. So we did. After 5 more minutes, the door opened and the lady bouncer took us in and immediately closed the door again. And so we were inside. In a super tiny club for 15-20 people full of sofas, candles, lamps with long selvage edge, images and wallpapers. People talked quietly to the sounds of French chanson with eccentric glasses in hand and everybody respected the ban on the use of phones. Over a glass of strawberry daiquiri we chatted with that bouncer whose name is Amy, and it's a very nice lady.
4 - Man Mo Temple
Among the prefabs on the island of Hong Kong is a place around which over the past few decades wrapped crazy city. Still very quite with a contagious silence disturbed only occasionally by murmuring of the monks praying and visitors.
5 - Lantau Island
Ride off here by boat from either mainland or from HK Island and enjoy a cruise with a can of beer in your hand. From the port take a bus to the giant statue of Buddha Tian Tan and then take the cable car back to the city that stretches above the forest.
6 - DimDimSum
Battered restaurant full of locals - and that's always a good sign.
